Gaetano Previati  ( Ferrara 1852 – Lavagna  Ge 1920 )

 

Previati, Gaetano (Ferrara 1852 - Lavagna, Genova 1920), Italian painter, one of the main representatives of divisionismo characterized by strong connotations simboliste.
In 1877 he moved to Milan to subscribe to the Academy of Brera. He romantic painting with a particular historical content.
Then comes close to scapigliati and divisionisti, particularly Vittore Grubicy, addressing new issues and gradually beginning to break down images of his paintings in strings of colored light.

1902 he exhibited  at Secessione of Berlin

1905 he exhibited  at Quadriennale di Monaco
1907 he run  the"Sala del sogno"at Biennale di Venezia.
